For the past two months I have been getting the BSOD and the computer restarts before I can write down the error code. Recently, the BSOD has occurred on a daily basis. I have used Registry Mechanic to scan the registry for errors, but I continue to get the BSOD's.
I have also downloaded the latest driver for the Nvidia card.
I do not have the software or expertise to read the .dmp files.
I have a total of 26 .dmp files in the Windows/Mindump folder. I have attached a zipped folder with the .dmp files.
I would greatly appreciate if one could review the .dmp files to help me determine the cause of the BSOD's.
Thank You.

26 memory dumps from 25 Apr 2010 to the present (almost 2 months)
17 are STOP 0x1A and there are 6 other STOP error codes - there are 4 different causes blamed.

I suspect that this is a problem with your memory and would suggest that you run these free, bootable diagnostics:
H/W Diagnostics:
Please start by running these bootable hardware diagnostics:
Memory Diagnostics (read the details at the link)
HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link)

Also, please run one of these free, independent online malware scans to ensure that your current protection hasn't been compromised: Malware (read the details at the link)
I'll post back when the memory dumps are finished running....

John, aka Mr. Cranky Pants,
You were right about the memory. When I ran a memory test using memtest 4.10 it came back with the lower portion of the screen in red and listing multiple failing addresses.
Is there a way to determine which memory stick(s) are bad? With the price of memory, I would guess the best course of action is to replace all four memory sticks.

This is my first opportunity using this forum and I was very impressed with your quick, helpful and easy to understand recommendations.
I also updated the Realtek driver just to be safe.
Hopefully the new memory will solve the problem.
Again, I greatly appreciate the time you took to help me. I was thinking about the high explosives route, but you have saved me the aggravation.
Thank You.

Start with step 6 of the Memory Test link that I posted above.
It outlines a way to test all the sticks and slots to see what is bad and what is good.

If you're getting a whole screenful of Red in the bottom half of the Memtest - then your memory is likely to be causing your problems.

John,
I did go back and test the memory sticks. One of the Patriot 2GB sticks was bad. The HP memory tested fine. So until I buy another 2GB stick, I'll run the machine with 4GB of memory.
Thanks again for all the help. Us novices appreciate your dedication to the forum.
