Hi
I recently started getting BSOD while on Youtube/chrome. No idea why, I've done the MemTest and driver verifier but nothing came up. Also, checked all updates and used Lenovo's official updater to check BIOS and drivers. Have noticed that Chrome has been using a lot more RAM since the last update and my videos were splicing and not loading recently. BSOD doesn't occur when I'm on Word/Excel etc. but that could be coincidence.

Google came up with something about 'Microsoft IEEE 1394 driver stack' and a hotfix but I am not sure what needs to be done.

I have previously got a BSOD when my RAM was faulty but that was easily checked and fixed with new RAM. Can't figure out what's wrong this time. I've got an ex-office laptop and I have used it a lot but it's been looked after, would hate to lose all my stuff on here.

Hope someone here can help.

I have been noticing Google Chrome does freeze up way more often. I had a BSOD here not long ago either, same file name different error code though.

Makes one wonder if its a Chrome issue or not.

Will let a pro pipe in on that though.

Welcome to SF afc814 :) .

The issue appears to be originating from a couple of security oriented software,
Avast & Trusteer Rapport, are you able to remove them for trouble shooting purposes?
Also, were you trying to install something while the BSOD happened?
A plug-in or something similar also counts.

Thanks for the reply YoYo155.

I've removed Trusteer and haven't had a BSOD yet, so maybe that was it.

Wasn't installing anything overtly but don't know about background updates, I was simply trying to watch a video on Youtube or was checking my emails.
