BSOD (only at boot) BAD_POOL_HEADER 0x00000019

Hey guys, I've been trying to solve a BSOD I've been getting occasionally on bootup.

This never occurs while logged into Windows, just now and again on Restart/Bootup. And not every bootup.

I have tried many different solutions but cannot seem to solve the issue.

Here is what I have tried so far:

Running chkdsk and bad sector scan - no errors.
Running Western Digital HD diagnostics - no errors
Running Memtest86 for 8 hours - no errors.
Run sfc - no violations.
System restores
Uninstalling and reinstalling devices.
Removing Firewall and Anti-Virus software.
Repair Install of Windows 7

I ran the SFDiagnostic tool and have attached the zip file.

Hope someone can help me with this?

Apparently the BSOD is caused by inspect.sys, COMODO Internet Security Firewall Driver (c:\windows\system32\drivers\inspect.sys)

Probably caused by : Pool_Corruption ( nt!ExDeferredFreePool+cbb )

In order to be sure, remove it from Startup:

COMODO Internet Security    "c:\program files\comodo\comodo internet security\cfp.exe" -h    Public    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

And then reboot the computer. It will make you sure that the identified element is the cause of the BSOD or not.

Then, you are enough able to take the right decision

I'll remove it from start up and report back in a few weeks. As it only happens occasionally, it may take me a few weeks to see if it's resolved the issue.

Not sure why it only started a few months ago. I've had comodo installed for years and I've stayed with the same version without issues. Must be conflicting with some other software maybe?

Also, if it does solve the issue, can you recommend a good free alternative to comodo?

Well, just as a quick update.

My nvidia video card has died now.

Artifacts appearing even on the bios screen. So looks like a new video card will need to be purchased.

Could that have anything to do with the BSOD or is it just a coincidence that they both occurred lately?

Can't really afford to buy a decent graphics card until after Christmas, so looks like pc will be out of action for a few weeks.

A failing hardware may cause any of the issues .... but I am not confident to say it that the previous issue was caused solely by it, as it is noticed many a times that Comodo causes such issues.

I personally use Microsoft Security essentials, MBAM and Windows inbuilt firewall ..... and for me it is enough good But it is such a topic which is always controversial

If your motherboardboard has onboard graphics, you can use it.

Unfortunately my board has no onboard graphics so will be out of action until I replace it.

Will maybe just be a cheap one for now so I can at least get it running again. Then buy a decent one after new year.

Anyway, sorry for wandering OT.

As soon as I get it back up and running, I'll report back and let you know.
