BSOD only noticed it happening while on the internet

Yes, I think so. But, as usual with Gigabyte boards, I'll have to look up your manual to figure out exactly whay it is saying.

Not really. Your main sata mode is set to raid. Your hard drive shows at IDE slave. Is it connected with 2 cables or by a wide ribbon type cable?

OK, you are running off of a Gsata port(usually an add on port) which is in IDE mode. The main ports are set to raid, for some unknown reason. But, if it has been running OK for this long, Just leave it that way. It really should be on sata port 0 or 1, but it will not boot if you move it, so we'll just leave it alone. If your Father built it and set it up for you, he apparently had a reason for it being that way.

My friend built the computer acrually. He had it set up in raid zero I belive it was, until one drive died. I don't know if it was setup like this by my friend and my dad just left it that way when we took the second drive out or what.

So if we are leaving it be at this point, what's my next step for clearing the 3 issues with raid, video and wireless?

Open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

That's good. Exactly what we want.

Please Run Memtest86+
picture.php

   Information
Please download from this site only http://www.memtest.org/ in the middle of the page are the Download links, you can download the ISO.zip or the Auto USB Flash Drive installer.zip

Extract the Zip file. If you chose the ISO image, burn it to a CD using Windows Disk Image Burner or any Image burner you may have. If you downloaded the Auto USB installer, extract it, insert your USB 2.0 Flash Drive and take note of the drive letter. Run the installer, select the Flash Drive Letter, check the format box and press next. It will install memtest86+ to a flash drive. You can use either V4.20 or V5.01. Boot from your selected media. If you use V5.01 it will tell you to press certain buttons at the start, please press no buttons. The test will begin on it's own and continue to run until you stop it. It needs to run for 8 complete passes or until you receive an error. If you receive an error, stop the test. Even 1 error is a fail. Each pass tests a different part of the ram and each of the 10 tests in each pass tests something different. It takes a minimum of 8 passes to completely test the ram, more passes are better. It is quite a long test and will take several hours depending on how much ram you have. Due to the time length it is best to run overnight. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask

This will take you 12-14 hours probably. But, we need to do it to make sure your issues are not caused by ram. If they are, all of the debugging info we get will not be right. I know it is a Pain, I've had to do it numerous times myself. Better safe than sorry. The Raid problem, I'm not too worried about. The wireless is not so big an issue, even in the worst case. Wireless cards are cheap. The graphics is most concerning to me. If you only have a couple of days left on the warranty, I would call them now, and either RMA it if you can or upgrade it if that's what you want. Still in the better safe than sorry category. EVGA is usually pretty easy to deal with. That's why I use them.

Ok great. I'm putting it on a disc now.

When you say boot from my selected media... how do I do that?

As far as graphics is concerned, I'm going to take it back tomorrow to Frys electronics and exchange. If I'm going there already should I just take my Wireless card also?

If so, do I just turn the computer off and remove them, then replacing them and turning the computer back on?

2 ways, your board has a one time boot menu, where you can use that to select which drive, CD/DVD or usb to boot into, but does not change your boot order in bios. Or you can put the CD in the DVD drive, boot into bios and set your DVD to 1st boot device and hard drive to 2ND boot device. F10, I believe is save and exit, and it should boot into the DVD, You don't have to do anything. Let it run for 8 complete passes or until you get an error. If you get an error, you can stop it right there, the ram has failed. The test will run until you stop it. Stop it by pressing the Escape key. No matter what message you get when the test starts, don't press any keys. I don't know what the one time boot menu key is on Gigabyte boards. It's different for each Manufacturer. Gigabyte's one time boot menu may be F12.

Let me know when you have the results. Mote 'fun' when you finish that. Also, if I haven't said so already, if you ate overclocking, [lease set everything to default levels, after memtest86+ is completed. I trust you downloaded the test from the web site in the instructions I gave. Good night.

If you look at the top right, it should be moving fairly quickly.

Stop the test and remove the 2 2GB sticks. Never mix ram, always use a kit. A kit is tested to work together, individual sticks are not. Doing that is asking for problems. I t appears the timings may be different, but I can't really tell.
