BSOD only noticed it happening while on the internet

Please believe me, I don't think you've let me down and I would hope that you continue to help. Since the last time we've spoke, the hardware hasn't changed. The system specs in my info are accurate, except maybe the power supply which I may have changed to a 720w.

I am currently working on the things you've requested and will post here in a minute.

The only thing that concerns me is your ram. You have mixed 2 different sets, which is generally a no-no. If you look at the Memory tab it tells you what your ram is set to and what it is actually running at. The timing numvers are very important for ram. If you look at your SPD tabs, each JEDC setting shows the correct frequency and timings for each ram frequency. You will notice you have 2 sticks that are sett to specs- 800MHz, @ 9-9-9-24 Which is what the memory tab says they are running at. You will notice that 2 sticks, the JEDC numbers for them is for 800MHz, what you are running them at are 8-8-8-24. So they are running out of specs, which will usually cause you problems. Those 2 sticks are within specs @ 666 MHz, but they are running at 800 not 666. You will also notice that the voltage for specs ate different. So, you have to be running 2 sticks at the proper voltage and at the same time 2 sticks which are either overvolted or undervolted.

Now, I cannot say that the ram settings are your problem or causing your issues. What I can say is that the way you have the ram is asking for a problem. Sometimes ram is capable of doing just what you are doing and will run fine. Most of the time it will not run well, and cause problems.

Ok, so I bought the ram with the intention of using all four sticks. When I bought them the specs were identical. Verified by myself, the guy at Frys and my dad. Is this something that I can change or is it just better to remove 2 sticks?

quick edit: I did some reading on the voltage, it looks like I can drop the voltage but would running two different speeds hinder my performance?

I do heavy video rendering. That's my concern.

Well, you can see by the JDEC Specs and the model number shown, they are not the same. What cpuz reads is the info imbedded in the ram. They are not the same. I cannot say that is your problem, but I would remove 2 of the sticks, reset the timings and voltage in bios to match the JEDC numbers and give it a try. If that is not the problem, you will see soon enough.

Alright Essenbe, I've removed the two old sticks. I will say that they were running within spec. The stickers on the sticks show exactly what they were running at. Was this just an issue where the 4 sticks were not matching?

Anyway, they are out, so we'll see if that fixes it!

Also, here is what I'm at now.

That's fine. They should run like that fine. I don't know that is your problem but the sticks didn't match, they were different with different voltages and speeds. One set would have to run out of specs. Sometimes ram can do that and sometimes it can't. It depends on the ram, the board and the memory controller in the CPU. At any rate, any time you run 2 different sets of ram, you are asking for trouble. Nothing is an absolute, but why not remove that issue, at least until we get you stable. Once we do that, if it wasn't the problem, put them back in. If you don't have a problem, it's all good. If you do, you will know why. Does that sound reasonable?

Hey Essenbe, thanks again for all your help! The computer seems to be running flawlessly BUT I bought myself an SSD. It didn't come with any data transfer instructions. Is there an easy way to mirror from my old hd to my new one?

PS I know this isn't the right forum but I thought considering our history ;) lol

Thanks for everything.
