BSOD Only when Gaming

That is a really annoying design flaw. Not sure how to test it otherwise.

now it did not save any files on prime95 because of it...
what do I do next?

Did you happen to catch the BSoD code? I would be it was 124, which is too low voltage. The VID voltage range is 0.800-1.375V for that CPU. I would guess bumping it up to 1.000 or so might help.

yes the BSOD code was a stop 0x000124 it always is... so how do I do it safely? I just move the volt in the bios?

Ah, that makes complete sense now, your CPU needs more voltage. You will need to boot into BIOS and bump it up about 0.25V, and run Prime95+ again until it crashes, then bump it up another 0.25V. Keep doing that until it is stable.

ok I gave it a 0.25v increase, the volts are higher on the GPU-z and the temperature of the cpu are getting about 10degrees warmer than before on Idle

That sounds a little extreme, but is it stable?
You might just have a bad CPU as well.

I dunno...but now the default voltage on bios says 1.50v so far so good ...as I mentioned I can't do prime 95 until tomorrow because we are playing on the pc still... and we have not gotten any bsod yet.

1.5V is way too high, you want it to be as low as possible and still stable.

I did, but the voltage range for that chip is up to 1.375V, 1.5V is WAY too high. I said increase it in small increments to get it stable.

Hey,

OK, we need to get a full MEMORY dump to see what is really going on.

To enable full memory dump:

Computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Startup And Recovery Section > Settings Under System faile > Write debugging info > choose "kernel memory dump" and set dump file to "%SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP" > click OK twice and reboot

Next time you get a BSOD you should fine the %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP file.

Please upload somewhere and send the link to someone here you trust.

As a full MEMORY dump might accidentally include private information.

To be safe try and make it BSOD with only the game running on the system, close all other applications.

Take Care,

Will

Was the BSoD still a 124 code?
You might bump up the voltage some more (yes, to above 1.325 this time) to get it stable.

Are you overclocking at all?

no bob I did not Overclock exept that card is already overclocked from default, it also means I can't overclock it more...I have no idea if I can downclock it but I think like you said the CPU might not have enought power... it was at 1.25v on auto I raised it to 1.30 for now and will try gaming and see if it crashes

Once again thanks everyone for your patience and time I really appreciate
