Hello, I hope you can help me out. I have been encountering strange problems with my PC last few days, I am getting a BSOD every 20-30 min when I run Assassins Creed III. This is the second time I'm playing the game and never had the problem with it either the first time many years ago or a few months ago when I played it. I'm less worried about being able to play the game then what might be happening to my windows and pc right now. Included are some even viewer logs and the DM log collector zip.

Thanks! in advance for any help.

Hello!

Since you are facing a 0x124 you will need to stress test all hardware, follow all the tutorials below and report back the results. Remember, if the computer bluescreens in any of these tests then it means that, that hardware is failing.

Run Furmark, if the temps goes too high stop the test. Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Run MemTest86+ for 8 passes, It must be MemTest86+. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Run SeaTools(DO NOT RUN FOR SSDS) SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use

Run Prime95, if the temps goes too high stop the test. Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95 - Windows 7 Help Forums

Test the volts of the PSU using HWInfo, download the correct version and open it. After you've opened it click Sensors-only and run. Now scroll down to the power section and screenshot the power section.

Run Speecy to see if you are overheating Speccy - Advanced System Information Tool

5 tests you asked to do

Hi Laith, so far I have tried 4 of the 5 tests and I do have a SSD harddrive so I didn't use any tools to test that.

Furmark, 10 min test got up to 76 C and stayed around there for the last 7 min or so

Speccy says my cpu temp is idle at around 50 C which seems high still ? But it was going into red 60 C before I checked the cpu fan physically (air can cleaned it), cleaned off the old thermal paste with proper products and reapplied a new one I bought and increased the speed of the cpu fan in bios to kick in sooner at the certain temperatures

HWinfo I am including pics of what you asked

Prime95 I started running it and temp went up to 98 using realtemp so I turned it off. That seemed too high to have it test for 2 hours at the kind of temp.

The MemTest86+ I saved for last cause I used that to test my 4 sticks about 5 months ago but will get to it as well to make sure.

Thanks again, should I be checking the minidumps for info on what might be happening ?

So I have a bit of an update today, I finished doing the MemTest86+ test of 8 passes (cpu temp went up to 64 and I decided to put a large fan beside the pc while it ran over night and I opened up the side of the pc case)

I also did a SFC /SCANNOW, CHKDSK /R and ran HDDscan v3.3 and did all the tests which seemed fine

lastly I checked the mini dumps of the last few BSOD's I've had in the last week or two.

the 116's were caused by upgrading of my AMD drivers to Crimson ReLive 16.12 and so I decided to uninstall those and go back to the 16.09 and had no issues the last three days.

Now the the BSOD's with the 124 it says it was caused by hal.dll which is used for older games for compatibility of older windows. Now that I know the only thing seems to be off is the cpu temp I'm going to try a newer game like Tomb Raider 2 from a steam install I have and see if I get any BSOD's.

Looking forward to hearing any ideas or info you have, Thank you in advance. :D
