BSOD Playing Fifa (Usually) May be an overheating issue?

Let me preface this by saying that it has happened before, but that was an overheating problem with some old software stopping the fans. Now it's back and it's when I'm playing fifa - usually about half an hour into it.

Also sometimes it is a BSOD, sometimes the graphics and audio freeze with the screen showing a glitch type pattern.

Custom built PC, AMD Radeon HD 7700 graphics card, zip attached.

I do have a temp monitor - HWMonitor, unless that's no good?

some people find different results from different programs.

Right, you are getting video ram errors which most likely points to GPU hardware errors.

Please download and run furmark by following these instructions.

Make sure you run Furmark for around 30 minutes.

This indicates the creative sound driver has caused a general protection fault which is an interrupt that the processor uses to stop the any damage being caused.

Creating restore point now, should I update the creative driver before running furmark?

It would be easier to run Furmark to eliminate the cause of a failing GPU.
Watch out for artifacts or "glitches" on the screen.

I started it, but stopped about 5 minutes in when I noticed the fan speed for the GPU doesn't rise above 39%? GPU at 99% load, and the fan speed can't be changed from 39% in catalyst control centre

What temperatures does the GPU get too?
It should say on the top of Furmark.
I'm afraid I don't know much about AMD because I've never had one of their cards.

It got to 56 but the fan speed wasn't rising so I turned it off to post this

As long as temperatures don't rise above 85 you should be safe.

Temperature leveled at 60 degrees about 6 minutes in, no artifacts, the fan speed increased to 41% so it's not stuck after all

Alright, ran it for 30 minutes, no artifacts, maxed at 62 and was sat at 60 for most of the test

Right, that looks like your GPU isn't the cause then, actually that might have been a bugcheck when you said your fans stopped working so it overheated.

I would now recommend updating your Creative driver.
