BSOD playing Just Cause 2 minidump file uploaded! Please Check it out!

Hi there, this my first time posting in any forum related to pc problems. I hope someone can help me with my situation.
I was playing Just Cause 2 and in the middle of one of the missions the computer gave me a BSOD with a code, which I didn't get the time to write it down, and then it shutdown. When I started the OS again it gave me a message telling me that a mini-dump file had been created for this BSOD. So, I'm attaching this "021812-11606-01.dmp" to see if someone is able to understand the reason of my crash.
One more thing, this morning I overclocked my pc to a 20% using the AI Overclocking (intelligent CPU frequency tuner) tool that comes with the Asus motherboard. I also have severals mods installed in my DropZone directory inside the Just Cause 2 directory which tweak a couple of behavior of the gameplay. I don't know what could be giving the problem but I hope someone can find out and let me know. Any help is highly appreciated.

Guys, the computer is not letting me upload the mini-dump file, it says that I don't have permission. How come is this if I'm the only user with administrative rights. The file is located at C:\Windows\Minidump\021812-11606-01.dmp
How can I change this administrative right, that I already have, but the system is telling me that I don't have the permission.

No minidumps, no attachments

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Thanks for your prompt reply! I followed your advice and STOPPED overclocking. I also made sure that minidumps were enabled. and I also moved the minidump file to my desktop temporarily, winzipped it, and attached it. Let me know what you can find!

Asacpi.sys

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known bsod cause.

Scroll down to the utilities category, then scroll down to the "atk0110 driver for windowsxp/vista/windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).

Download and install it.

Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers to check and make sure that the asacpi.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (notbefore).

Hi there, I just did what you suggested me. Let's play just cause 2 for a while and see if the BSOD comes back again.
Questions:

1- Should I delete the dump file from C:\Windows\Minidump\ so in case another BSOD comes up I don't get confused with it or do I still need it for future reference?

2- Why did you tell me to stop overclocking? "If you are overclocking STOP" Remember that I use the AI Overclocking Tuner that comes with my motherboard BIOS. I only have to select what percentage I want to increase (up to 20%) and the Tuner does the needed changes. I'm explaining this because in my short knowledge of overclocking this way is less risky than doing it manually. Please correct me if I'm wrong and let me know why you think I should STOP overclocking at all!

I just played Just Cause 2 and not even 5 minutes passed and I it got frozen (it didn't get the BSOD but it got frozen) I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Delete and Ended the Task. Now, I went to Event Viewer and this is what it says along with Kernel problem that I'm having. I don't know if they both are related to the frozen behavior of the game. I'm attaching a word document with the Print Screen of the Event Viewer.

Leave it so we can spot trends

Overclocking is one of the leading causes of crashes
