Hi, I've been having trouble the past month with random blue screens. I've run memtests, updated all the drivers I could think of, and updated everything important using Windows Updates. I only crash when I play League of Legends. I spent the last week not touching the game and didn't crash once, but played a game today and yet again another crash.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

This is my report:

Ran the malware test and it found about five things. I'm worried that I may not have a correct driver though. I guess I'll know if I blue screen again? Do you want to read the malware log?

Not necessary but I would re-run it again after your next reboot just in case. We cant diagnose the BSOD's till it is really gone.

Ran it again with no malware found. I guess we can assume it fixed unless it crashes again. I don't have time to play LoL now, so we'll see in the future. Thanks for your help zigzag!

Down again

Welp I got a chance to play and crashed again. I was feeling rather ambitious and restarted LoL after the crash and then it crashed almost immediately. When I booted from that crash windows crashed on load, so yeah that was a bummer. It's working now though!

I will attach all the .dmp's for you to check out.

I'm assuming it has to be driver related, but I don't know how to narrow down which driver I don't have updated.

GOT IT!!

Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads DuplexSecure - FAQ

when you're done you can use this Freeware:

MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM (MagicDisc) in its place

Using MagicISO to create ISO image files

I think we finally have found it.

Okay, so I'm a little confused on how this SPTD thing works.

I immediately selected update and then after reading the FAQs selected uninstall. After the reboot I received an error saying that it couldn't find a file for daemon toolz.

I also couldn't find a way to uninstall Daemon Tools through the add/remove programs or from its directory. Should I just delete the entire folder or am I using the Duplex Secure program wrong?

*edit*
When I go back to the SPTD setup now, it only says Install and I can no longer Uninstall. Yet Daemon Tools is still in my Prgoram Files(x86).

I am thinking that because it is install under my 32-bit program files that maybe I should have downloaded the 32-bit version of the SPTD Duplex Secure?

A quick easy way to check is to search for sptd.sys and if found rename it to sptd.bak so it cant load.

I searched under "Computer", hoping to search all my drives, and did not find the file. I still see the Daemon Toolz folder, as if it were still installed on my computer, but I do not see it running. Should I just delete the directory?

I also have something called Virtual Clone Drive on my computer. Could this be a similar program that may lead to crashes?

Could be.

If your indexing the whole OS drive it should find it if it is still there.

Are you still crashing and if so upload the DMPS

Crashed again :(

I search the .sys file and didn't find anything and upon reboots I receive an error saying windows can't find the deamon toolz helper file.

I attached my .dmp. Let me know what you think I should do and thanks again for all your help!

after 4 days, i'm down again

So I finally got a chance to play LoL again and after two games my computer blue screened once more.

The initial blue screen while playing LoL didn't create a .dmp file, but almost immediately after reboot I blue screened again which did create a new .dmp file.

Dunno if this info helps, but this is what I was prompted with on reboot.

more information

I had another crash again today. It happened the same way the others did (I was playing League of Legends). I decided that even though no one has replied yet it would be best to give as much information as possible.

This crash happened about ten minutes after I started playing. When I was trying to boot the computer after the crash it failed to load windows and told me that a file is corrupt.

I turned the computer off and back on and then continuously heard the boot-beep (i don't know what to call it lol) as if the computer was trying to start but kept failing.

I then turned it off and left it off for about 30mins and had no trouble booting up windows from there.

Corrupt DMP file so pretty useless.
