Hello everyone,
I am aware that there are others who are having a 116 error but all computers are different right? Regardless I have been having this BSOD issue every since a started using my new Logitech G430 headphones. Though the crash only happens during my playing of Rome 2. It will happen randomly during battles and when on the campaign map. Even when I load a previous save. I have used Iobit's driver booster and it says all of my driver's are up to date (I have found it uses BETAs too like the recent one on the 30th from AMD). I have as well just cleaned out my computer of all the dust but I still experience the BSODs.
Any help is graciously accepted!

by error 116 I mean 0x00000116, I apologize if I created any confusion I'm new to this.

I've noticed there are several junk and really problematic programs installed on your system:

Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Advanced SystemCare 6

Windows 7 doesn't require any programs which make changes to the operating system and registry, these programs tend to cause problems by modifying and deleting files.
Windows is a closed source system. Developers of registry cleaners do not have the core code of Windows 7 and are not working on definitive information, but rather they are going on past knowledge and experience. Automatic cleaners will usually have to do some guesswork.

Modifying registry keys incorrectly can cause Windows instability, or make Windows unbootable. No registry cleaner is completely safe and the potential is ever present to cause more problems than they claim to fix.

Registry cleaners cannot distinguish between good and bad. If you run a registry cleaner, it will delete all those keys which are obsolete and sitting idle; but in reality, those keys may well be needed by some programs or windows at a later time.

Windows 7 is much more efficient at managing the registry than previous Windows versions. If you run any other registry cleaner and do not know precisely what you are doing, you will have problems down the road. There are no gains to be had from using a registry cleaner and the risk is great.

Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Driver Booster
Start Menu\Programs\Driver Performer

These driver detection and installation programs, tend to install incompatible or outdated drivers. The best and only method is to install drivers directly from the vendor's website, and then use their installation tools or install drivers via Device Manager.

Driver Performer seems to be spyware too.

Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\IObit Malware Fighter
Start Menu\Programs\Webroot SecureAnywhere

You seem to be running two real-time protection programs on one system, which can cause serious conflicts and crashes, please remove both programs, and then follow this proven security strategy:

Install and perform full scans with:
   Information
Remember to install the free version of Malwarebytes not the free trail; untick the free trial box during installation. MSE is the most lightweight and compatible with the Windows 7 operating system

You can also view this thread for a complete free and lightweight security protection combination:
Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\PC Help & Tools
Start Menu\Programs\PC Help & Tools\Troubleshooter

These programs usually provide false and inaccurate information.

Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Smart Defrag 2

This program is known to cause problems, and is developed by IOBit, which generally create junkware programs.

Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\We-Care Reminder

Do you use this program? It seems to come bundled with freeware program installers. https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=111991

Reduce the number of programs at startup, to avoid any driver or program conflicts:

Well I deleted most of those programs that you recommend I uninstall except webroot because my family is too insecure to allow me to remove it. I as well set out to personally update my driver through the site you linked me. Was I right you acquire the beta or should I have clicked the other link that was on the page. In addition should I still attempt to install Microsoft security or not? As well webroot was installed by Geek Squad which is why my parents are against my removing of it.
Thanks again for your help and I will see if I encounter the BSOD any time soon.

Please revert back to the latest WHQL driver from AMD - http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/1810-latest-amd-catalyst-video-driver-windows-7-a.html

I've just reverted back to the WHQL driver and 5 minutes in my game my system crashed and restarted. I believe it to be a 124 error.

MSE is a real-time protection program, so just leave Webroot for now, and don't install MSE.

Stop 0x124 is mostly related to hardware, and in rare cases, it can be caused by drivers. Make sure you install the WHQL driver, it's below the Beta driver link, both links go the same page I believe anyway, just make sure you install the September 18th one.

As I was using the Furmark 4 minutes in I was experiencing lag and it appeared if i had 2 mouse pointers much like when you slow down the (mouse) pointer speed. I have had this graphics card for well over a year have played numerous games on it like Skyrim and the warhammer 40k games. As well as mass effect 3, sleeping dogs, and simcity. This crashing has only happened with Rome 2 is it possible that the game may have faulty coding. I have heard that many have had similar problems because of this game.
I really appreciate all of this support and will attempt the fur-mark test tomorrow. When I have much more time.
Once again thank you! :D
Oh and my clock speed is at 2.90GHz

Technically, no User-Mode programs can ever cause a BSOD directly unless they have Kernel-Mode drivers, the game could possibly cause the graphics driver to process incorrectly because of the bad coding in the game. Have you checked for any patches or any mentioned patch release dates?

Your processor is fine in regards to clockspeed, and post a update on Furmark when you have the time :)

Have you checked the case and vents for dust accumulation?

What settings would you recommend for the furmark test in order to get the most accurate inforamtion for my issue? There have also been several reports of various BSOD's on peoples computers that derived from playing Rome 2. In fact they have an entire forum section dedicated to it. I have as well cleared out my computer of all and any dust over the past weekend. For originally my GPU would raise to temperatures of 60*C but now when I play Rome it raises no higher than well, 40*C I think. I'll have to find out this weekend.

Use the same settings as the tutorial, and I have seen a few problems with people complaining about Rome 2 and BSODs, so it could be due to how the game interacts with the device drivers.

I'm Back :)

I am heartily sorry for not being able to respond the past 3-4 weeks. My schooling was relentlessness with its issuing of school projects. I just managed to complete the furmark test at the settings that were in the tutorial and I ran it for an hour. My GPU temp leveled out at 64 degrees Celsius jumping up to 65 and down to 63 every once in a while (fan was at 45%). I as well maintained an avg. of 5 fps. Earlier I mentioned how my GPU was changing temps in post #9 I instead meant my CPU. Though I gauged these temps using game-booster by iobit so I do not believe them to be accurate. The reason being because CPUID says my CPU temps to be at 28 degrees Celsius.
And I would like to thank you for all the support you've been providing me and everyone else on these forums. :)

I would update your AMD graphics card driver again, since there has been a few updated WHQL versions released:

I though I would tell that recently I had a bsod that seemed to occur whenever I logged on. I believe that iobit may have really messed up my computer because when I restarted my PC and windows update installed an update. My computer then would bsod to 3b if I remember correctly. Since this happened I did a complete factory reset and only saved files that were in the my documents folder, so I will update my graphics drives and attempt to play Rome 2.
Thanks for the response!

All right I attempted to play my old saved game from before I reset the PC and I bsod three minutes in. I've used the amddriverdownloader that gets the latest version for my PC I think. Regardless I have my new bsod in the attachments.

New Year New Problems

I just received civilization brave new world for Christmas and I got the same the same bsod of 116 while playing. I have just recently updated my drivers to the current version and that was after the bsod. Though i have noticed that when i was using the sf diagnostic tool the screens that would say something has been retrieved would be black. Then today when I was playing civ 5 the terrain would turn black for a brief second a couple of times then stop. Then when I use notepad and hit backspace it does not delete the word but I have to hit another letter and to remove the previous letter.

Alright I have received another BSOD while playing Rome and I have also found that my GPU is recommended to have at least 500 watts and my computer's PSU has only 250 watts so chances are I am not getting enough wattage. For now would running my games in directx 9 instead of directx 11 reduce on wattage consumption?

I have found running it in directx 9 causes no bsods, will have to save up and buy a better PSU.
