My computer is a new rig with all the latest drivers that are out for grabs.
My computer specs are; AMD FX6100 3.3ghz, Asus Sabertooth 990fx, Kingston 16gb ram, 1tb 7200 HD, ATI Radeon HD6870 1gb ddr5

So I get random crashes when I use the built in "Asus Optimal"(overclocking) in bios. When I enable it, my cpu is clocked to 4.14ghz. I have noticed when I game for 20-40mins, my computer crashes. Even sometimes when it is just idling.

This was the most recent BSOD, please help.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:
* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

well im not sure if i was OC, i just used the bios 1 click for "optimum performance" that the guys at frys told me my mobo had. And it made my cpu go from 3.3ghz to 4.14ghz, but not i returned it back to normal and i have been gaming on it with no issues except for mouse choppiness during game, every once and a while. So what are you recommendations
zigzag?

If you are not crashing I would leave it as is. We can deal with the mouse choppiness another way.

The jump from 3.3 to 4.1 is huge. If it is built into BIOS it is probably safe but if you dont need it dont use it as it seems to have been the cause of the crash.
