You have AVG installed, is that correct? At least to test, uninstall it and install MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) instead.

Run a chkdsk on the system partition to check for bad sectors or system errors.

I removed the virtual drive that was not in use
I replaced AVG with MSE that you recommended
I ran a chkdsk on both my system drive and my storage drive and both returned no errors

Even after doing this i just received another BSOD a few minutes ago. my computer rebooted to quickly for me to get a chance to write down the stop code errors.

Any more ideas on what i should try to fix this??

Thanks,
Eric

If you are overclocking any hardware, STOP. Reset any changed values back to default.

Make sure all Windows updates are installed.

It looks like the AVG drivers are still present. Please uninstall them with Revo Uninstaller.

ok since this is such a new build i just formated my ssd and reinstalled windows.
everything was running fine until i put my computer to sleep, when i woke it up from sleep it gave me the blue screen error with the same f4 stop code error.
when i got back to my desktop the window popped up saying windows encountered an error would you like to find a solution

it came back and said that there was a problem with my hard drive and it wasnt able to read it for something.

is this a sign of a bad drive?
when i ran disk check on my ssd(OCZ Vertex 4 128GB) it said there were no errors

any suggestions?

Thanks

So after re-installing windows my computer blue screened after doing a little research about the f4 stop code error i did a little trouble shooting and found that my computer blue screens when it is waking from sleep. it gives me the same code every time it woke from sleep.

Do you know any way to fix this or should i just avoid putting my computer to sleep lol?!

Thanks

I think i might have figured it out last night. after a little more research on blue screen and ssd's i realized my firmware was not the most recent so i updated this and it seems to be working fine even when i put it to sleep

Thanks for all your help!

Eric

Ah, that would be it. SSDs with outdated firmware are notorious for causing BSODs. Sorry for not picking up on that earlier but all the same, I'm glad you solved your problem. :)
