Checked again, instructions are not followed.

Just do what is said in the supplied link, and nothing else.

Thanks again. I will try again tonight. Can you please give me some guidance where I went astray? What should I replace the X's with in the YourComputerName-xxxx.zip file name.

Appreciate it,
Dave

We will try this again. Thanks Essen for the video. Funny the instructions say to Double Click the file but in your video, you right clicked "run as Administrator." If this worked, that I was where "I" went wrong. :D Do the instructions need to be changed to say "run as admin?"

There are more ways to get the same, some depend on the settings configured by the user.
You can
  1. single click (setting)
  2. double click (setting)
  3. right click and choose run as admin
They give the same result, but the 3rd is just another way to make sure the app runs as admin.
There are more ways, but there is no need to notice them.

So, you had a chance to look at the zip file?

Yes, I understand that there are many ways to skin a cat but for some reason following the pinned, provided, double click instructions, did not work for me. I just wish that it didn't take 3 or 4 posts to tell me what I "did wrong." Great knowledge on the forum, I just have to learn how folks communicate here.

I had a chance, but didn't took it for reasons I have forgotten.

All crashes are 0x116 (going back to 3th month of 2015) and the newest is 0x117.
It means that the graphics drivers didn't respond anymore what caused a crash, the difference with the 0x117 is that with the 0x117 the drivers ultimately do recover.

However I'll leave it to others, because I have a little problem with the 0x116, 0x117, 0x119 and all other graphics related crashes, I'm having a little hard time everytime to proper troubleshoot them seeing everytime several pages of troubleshooting are created for graphical crashes.

I am going to give you some links that will help you get a good clean install and not have any drivers you don't need that will conflict with other drivers. Download a WHQL driver from http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/329659-latest-amd-catalyst-video-driver-windows-7-a.html . Once you have them downloaded, uninstall you current driver from control panel. next clean up any left over drivers from following this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/83814-drivers-clean-left-over-files-after-uninstalling.html and select only ATI Display Drivers. After you have done that and rebooted, install the new driver, only select custom install and install only what you have to. Very few people need most of what they include. You do not need the audio/HDMI drivers as you already have that in your Motherboard drivers. Unless there is some reason you need them, the only thing you really need is the Display Driver.

Try that and see if it helps. Your current driver is
