Hi everyone,

turned on the windows 7 64 Bit PC today and got a BSOD soon after getting into windows.

Managed to work out how to load the mini dump file into the debug tool which I enclose the zipped file with all details.

Anybody know what the SCSI Port.sys error relates to?

Look forward to a reply, thanks Jay

Hi there,

thanks for the reply.

Can I ask why you would want me to remove Bitdefender? for what reason?

Already ran sfc /scannow and said some errors were not able to be repaired?

Bitdefender in some cases conflict with the system and cause crash\bsod.

So for testing purposes is better to remove it for now. :)

Can not see update for blackberry device.

Never had a problem with Bitdefender BSOD before and been using it for some time.

Will try out MSE but hopefully it will protect me as not rated as good for protection compared to Bitdefender IMO

I have noticed in device manager flags to do with standard universal PCI to USB host controller, can not update drivers on these?

OS

Installed MSE... no infections found so Bitdefender has done its job there, no false positives so good there.

Will see what happens, any ideas about the PCI to USB that I mentioned?

The switch is not about infections,is about compatibility.

If SFC cannot "fix" your system you may need to run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html?filter

This could mean that either the drivers for the device isn't correctly installed or the device may be malfunctioning. Try updating the driver

Just thought I would mention it, to be honest I have never had a problem with Bitdefender causing crashing and you have only mentioned to remove it because it causes BSOD, my reply to that comment would be are you saying not to use it because it causes BSOD or it has caused my BSOD?? .... I do not think this is the real cause here.

I will run a repair install off the disc.

What is the best way of finding what device is using it?

The problem with the pci to USB host controller was the usb card I had put inside the pc and forgot about lol windows 7 had not picked up the driver for it so it has been taken out of the PC now, unsure if this was the cause of the BSOD?

Going to leave the MSE on for a few days then put the Bitdefender back on
