BSOD Unknown cause(s)

Hi, I've been having BSOD for a couple of months now. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, and proving to be difficult to narrow the cause down. I do a lot of multi tasking so that even makes it more difficult to find out what the problem is. I hope this rar can give you as much information as possible to find the exact problem.

Also I noticed I currently use ATI for my graphics card, but I originally had nvidia and I'm noticing that Nvidia Phsyx still remains in my "Uninstall programs" list even though I have uninstalled it at least 3 times.

Manufacture - Asus M7723 case
Graphics - ATI Radeon 6970 2g HD (Changed from Nvidia 330 GT (original graphics card when I bought the computer))

Motherboard - Acer FX58M

Unable to reinstall the OS seeing as they never provided me with the original Win7 activation code. (probably don't need it but didn't take the risk)
My computer is roughly 2 years old, the graphics card I bought is only a year old.

I've always had a feeling that due to tight space in the case may cause the card to eventually overheat and just fail which is causing a BSOD, not sure if thats the case. I believe I also have a lot of outdated drivers but didn't really find which ones they were either.

I've noticed when I open a game called Stronghold Kingdoms I tend to get a bluescreen a lot from that program, it's a game thats been downloaded through steam and opened through steam.

even though your ati it still uses the phyx drivers for games that are made utilizing physx, so completly normal. if u uninstall either games wont run that use it or reinstall it when you go to run the game

i have a 6970m and also if you install the wrong driver it will cause the card to act funny. being as there is a flood of ati drivers this year can be hard to find the right one. i have personally switched to the 12.6 whql driver and have been pleased with it. theres also desktop drivers and mobile drivers. they can make a difference

Thank you, It may take a few days to know if theres been a change seeing as these BSODS are completely random (yesterday experienced atleast 15-20)

Okay I experienced another BSOD, but I believe this one was triggered a windows error after the computer comes out of sleep mode. (read this a month ago on some forums)

Need filled out System Specs. Please follow this procedure:

Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec (left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Manufacturer and Model and
ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

You will find that in Speccy, you can select info from the display
using your mouse/touchpad and then paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

I'm not a BSOD analyst expert so will not speculate or download with wild gusts of wind.

I do know that BSODs are caused by hardware or software. Sounds simplistic and is correct.

Another fact: More than 80% of all BSODs are caused by drivers. That still leaves another 20%.

WHQL drivers are the most reliable.

accept Startup.txt as file name | SAVE button

enter Scheduled Tasks as File name | Save button

List of INSTALLED PROGRAMS

CCleaner | Tools icon | Uninstall button |
click on Save to text file button (bottom right side) |
accept install.txt as File name | Save button


UPLOAD, as an attachment, the startup.txt file

You have not disabled the programs. They will be run when needed.

Close CCleaner.


REBOOT!

You have not disabled any programs. You have disabled the scheduled running.

Your Firefox is out of date.

I recommend uninstalling ALL Java. The first time you need Java, you will be prompted to download the latest and greatest. The older versions are riddled with security holes.

REMOVAL OF P2P PROGRAMS

There are signs of one or more P2P (Peer to Peer) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

As long as you are using any form of P2P networking to download files, you can anticipate malware infestations.

Just go to Control Panel | Programs and Features | scroll to Mozilla Firefox | rt-click on same | Uninstall.

Using IE, go to Mozilla.org and download the latest version. Be sure you go to mozilla.org. IE lists some other site first!

I uninstalled IDM due to that reason. I don't even know what eSobi is or what it does. Updated my Winlocker. (Thank you)
