Solved BSOD Very Random - ntoskrnl.exe seems to be issue

I would be most appreciative if you could help diagnose my problem. I randomly see the blue screen of death pop up on my PC. Typically when I am just surfing the Internet / listening to music.

I updated my system specs in my profile but the basics are:
Intel i7 930 @ 2.8 GHz
64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium (full retail) Service Pack 1
System was built June 2010
Last OS reinstall was October 2010
6 GB Corsair Dominator PC3-12800 Triple Channel Core i7 DDR3

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards- ASUS P5K-VM

Scroll down to the utilities category, then scroll down to the "atk0110 driver for windowsxp/vista/windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).

Download and install it.

Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers to check and make sure that the asacpi.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (not before).

Second, your AVG.


I note you have AVG.
AVG can be a contributing cause of BSOD'S .
Please remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST
