Solved BSOD waking up from sleep despite clean install

So I built a new computer (hardware can be found in my profile) and I was getting lots of BSODs from it (about once a week, both waking up from sleep and also just randomly). I did all kinds of driver updating, harddisk checks, memtest86's etc. without turning up any errors before giving up and just doing a fresh install of Windows 7.

Since then, I went two weeks without any BSODs but now I've had two of them in the last week. One of them occurred while just browsing on Chrome and the other occurred when waking up from sleep. These BSODs pretty reliably occur if the computer has been on for a long time (5-7 days). One other thing I've noticed but I'm not sure is related is that it takes my computer a very long time to shutdown (10min). It starts up very quickly though (10 seconds or less). In reading other threads, it seems like it might be related to my SSD, but I'm not sure. Please help!

I attached the zip below:

Run a minimum of 8 consecutive passes, preferably overnight, or until errors occur using MemTest86+.

Hi Golden, thank you for your response. I ran memtest overnight for 10 passes without error after I had another BSOD earlier that day (it's in the attached file). What should I do now? I really appreciate your help.

Does your mobo have dual channel ram or triple channel?

Sounds like bad hardware, do you have known good RAM that you can swap with?

Alternatively, you can go with one stick at a time, shorten the sleep timer and see if it gives you BSOD.

Hi Doctore, my mobo has dual channel. I don't have any known good RAM to swap with, but I guess at this point I need to bite the bullet and try to buy a new set or something. Do you have any other thoughts besides faulty RAM? Do you often find that RAM can be bad straight out of the box, as in this case? Thanks again for your help.

RAM could be bad out of the box, sure.

But you don't need to buy anything. Try booting with one stick at a time to see if you'd get BSOD on one (or more) of them. And unless you plan on running a high demand server or a bunch of VMs, I don't see the need of 16GB of RAM. Your PC should run anything without issues with 8GB, so if you find bad RAM - not the end of the world.

If RAM checks out, I would look into the drivers, see if all of them are updated. Well, you should to that anyways :)

What's the video card situation - all latest drivers and such?

Some memory operations are handled by the CPU - lets test it.

Run Prime95 for 2 hours, watching temperatures carefully:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-hardware-stress-test-prime95.html

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Driver Booster 2	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Driver Booster 2	Public
Uninstall this software - its useless junk, causing more problems than it claims to solve.

Hey all, just popping back in to give an update on the situation. A friend of mine lent me a stick of known-to-be-good RAM. I switched it into my machine and that seems to have done the trick! It's been almost a month without a BSOD, well past the 3-4 day intervals I was experiencing in the past. Plus, I haven't turned off my machine the entire time, which had extended those intervals in the past. While I'm sad that I'm outside the return window, I'm definitely happy that I can put all of these issues behind me. Thank you all for your help! I really appreciate it.

P.S. The lesson learned for me is that yes, RAM can be faulty out of the box, and that memtest isn't foolproof. I must have ran it a dozen times without it ever picking anything up!
