[FONT=&quot]Okay, so I decided to clean out my PC from dust and what not only to come across a problem. (I reapplied thermal paste to the CPU as well.) However to make things more complicated, before I cleaned it all out, I had trouble with an update. On June 14 late night I shut down my PC to be met with an update. Thinking nothing of it i let it run its course. A full 12 hours later, the update was NOT complete. It was on 4 out of 5. So I did what anyone would do and shut it off. Reboot, and tried the download again, this time it started at 1 out of 2 and completed. So, where did everything go wrong? This is the message I get as follows:

The zip you uploaded does not contain any crash dump.

Follow it: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html
Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Now wait for another BSOD. When it occurred, search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. See if the crash dump is recorded or not (hopefully it will be recorded).Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

I removed Norton 360 completely. Is AVAST anti virus any good?
Also, what exactly about Norton caused my PC to crash?

From the dumps it appears as the norton blocked your storage functionalists.

Avast, the free version is better. But MSE is the best from a BSOD perspective.

Hmmm. No viruses. I think it may have to do with my graphics driver. From time to time it will stop responding then recover. When it freezes any audio in the background will continue but im unable to click anything. I can move the mouse but that is all.

Something like this?

display%20driver%20stopped%20responding8.png

Try to roll back the display driver to the earlier version installed, just to have a check that if it is the same with another driver version or not.
Device Manager - Roll Back Driver

Let us know the situation, as it is mostly a hardware error. The error of the GPU itself.

Its just a test, to see if the errors are occurring with the GPU on only.

The cable connecting the monitor and the computer is connected with the GPU. Remove it from there, and put it in the same slot of the motherboard. Usually windows configures onboard graphics at a restart.

Most probably we will end up with changing the GPU.

Then try any other recent version of the display driver. If the situation is the same , you may need to replace the GPU unfortunately.

Yes. I rolled back to a previous driver yesterday and i have no received any display failures or BSOD. Interesting. I believe the BSOD may have been a combination of a failing display driver AND Norton 360. What are the chances of that? I will mark this thread as solved it the stability is consistent for 2 whole days.
