Solved BSOD when gaming/transferring files - Page_Fault_In_NonPaged_Area

Getting this BSOD error above whenever I game or do a long file transfer. I can play usually about 30 minute to an hour before the error occurs.
This is a new build, about 4 days old.
I tried multiple fixes, but I can't find what is causing the issue, and I'm getting really annoyed at this point. If anyone can check the dump files attached and see if that indiates the issues, I'd really appreciate it.

Specs:
CPU - Intel i7-2600 Quad Core 3.4GHz
RAM - Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600 - 16GB
Vid - GeFroce 460 1GB DDR5
PSU - 600W (don't remember brand off the top of my head)
MB - GigaByte

What I have done:
Ran MemTest - no errors found (don't remember number of passes, let it run for a few hours)
Performed a Check Disk - No errors found
Tried a different vid card - same issue when gaming (Second card was another GeForce 460, but with lower speeds)
Ran a Registry Fix - few errors found and fixed
Got latest driver for Vid card

I honestly don't know what file transferring has to do with it. The games make sense though. The debugger is sending back directx errors as the cause of your problems.
The first thing I would try is a simple uninstall/reinstall of the nvidia graphics drivers.
NVIDIA DRIVERS 296.10 WHQL
(download a fresh copy even if you have it already just to be safe)

If that doesn't clear it up, there's several more things we can try but lets give the obvious fix a chance first.

I'll give that a shot. I had the latest drivers before and it gave me the error, but I suppose corruption is always possible. I'll DL, install it, and try to play a game for a bit and let you know what I get. Thanks in advance.

As for transferring files, try snoozing your antivirus application before doing it.
See if that clears up that problem.

It should also be noted that the regular uninstall doesn't get all of it.
You need an app like
http://phyxion.net/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper/Version-3-2-0/
For that. (tick display drivers only and best run from safe mode)

Also if you could check your windows update. Having outdated .net framework components can cause problems with the video drivers/dx as well.

I removed the drivers and reinstalled new ones. I stupidly did not go into Safe Mode when I did so, so it caused me a little hassle, but got it done. The new drivers installed and I tried the game. I was able to play for an hour with no issue. It seems like I may be good to go, BUT I am not ready to mark this as solved just yet. I don't have any more files to tranfer, so I can't really check that, but I think I did disable the Windows Anti-Virus and that was how I got all my old HDD files a couple days ago (after multiple tries).

I will continue to test the system over the next few days to see if the issue is really gone (I REALLY HOPE SO!). If this becomes marked as solved within the next few days, you have my gratitude.

So, I am still getting blue screen errors, but now they are "Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal".

I downloaded the program you advised, booted into Safe Mode and ran it. It located all the driver files in the registry, and I clicked "Clean", and then a message came up - "Desktop Tools cannot be run in Safe Mode." The video driver were still there, though the card wasnt working. Do I do something wrong, and do I need to do the regular driver uninstall and then run the program?

1. Download the latest drivers for your display card(s)
2. Click Start Menu
3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
4. Click Manage
5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
6. Expand Display adapters
7. Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
  - Right click the adapter
  - Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  - Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
8. Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
9. Install the latest driver for the display cards once Windows starts
Alternatively:
1. Login as an adminstrative user
2. Download the latest drivers for your display card(s)

5. Click Hardware and Sound

Okay. I uninstalled the drivers in Safe Mode and got rid of everyhing completely. I couldnt run the driver sweep program in Safe Mode, so that was out, but I made sure I had no previous version of the drivers on my system when I installed the new ones. I am getting two BSOD errors now, and sometime when the computer is idle:

Monitor temperatures during the following tests.

Use the following programs to monitor the temperatures.
- Real Temp is a good CPU temperature monitor.
- Speccy - System Information - Free Download will monitor all hardware temperatures.
- HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools can be inaccurate for CPU temperatures, but is a good program for GPU temperature monitoring.
- Use FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net to test the graphics card GPU. Then use the |MG| Video Memory Stress Test 1.7.116 Download to test your graphics card memory. Let the memory test run for at least seven passes; the more the better.
- Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-hardware-stress-test-prime95.html to determine any hardware problems. Run all three tests for a few hours each. If you get errors, stop the test and post back here.
Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).

If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

I don't have any security software now. I plan to put MSE on my system, but it is a new build and I want to make sure all problems are fixed before I add anything else to the mix. I downloaded the latest drivers for my network card (I did hafve some crashed while online, so that may very well be one issue). I downloaded the DirectX files from the link, extracted and resintalled DirectX.
I do not overclock any hardware, and I will try some of the heat monitor software since my case doesnt have a heat display.
I will try the system the next two days or so and see if I have a crash. If so, I will reinstall the driver (again.... for about the 8th time) using the method you suggested.

Okay. RAM tested good. I know the system isnt running too hot (my fans don't even blow warm, they are cool).
I bought a new video card, and the system ran in game for longer than normal, but then I got BSOD: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQAUL.
I'm hoping this is a new type of issue that can be resolved. I attached the new dump files. Thanks for all the help so far.

What makes you think the fans blowing cool air indicates the system is not overheating? When I received my previous laptop back from having it serviced, the fans were blowing cool air. The system was still turning off due to overheating. Turned out the heat sink/fan apparatus was not in proper contact with the CPU to provide adequate thermal management through heat transfer.

Still pointing to a DirectX/graphics card problem. At this point, it is most likely the graphics card causing the issues since you re-installed DirectX and are still having the same crash. Try different graphics card driver versions to see how the system responds.

As the the overheating, I forgot to mention that the system has BSOD while idle too sometimes, and with 4 case fans and no overclocking, overheating seems VERY unlikely.

Anyway, I have tried 3 cards so far. I've tried a GTX460 (with performance boost), another GTX460 (little less poerful then the pervious), and a GT520. Granted, all these cards use the same driver from Nvidia, but will using a older driver actually work? I thought using the latest was always a must in most cases.

Also, I noticed that the file that seems to be in question here is dxgmms1. Searching for that, it seems the file is under folders with the name AMD in them. I don't have any AMD components in my computer. Could I delete these folders and see if the issue resolves?

Can you show us the location of these amd folders? I am guessing they are amd64, which does not mean they are AMD, but that they contain 64-bit components that are vital to your system to run. If you delete them, your system will no longer function in Windows.

They are AMD64 files.... so I guess I should leave thos alone. Do you know what older driver version I should go with from NVidia? I'm really thinking of turning to ATI cards with all the crap I am going through now. I never had issues with NVidia cards before, but I am ay my wits end at this point.

It may be your graphics card memory or the GPU itself that is at fault. Have you had a chance to run the Furmark and Graphics Card RAM test? Even if your system is not overheating, your GPU could be. I have seen problems with GPU fans not spinning due to a defect the card or due to being blocked from spinning by another PCI card or power wire inside the system.

I doubt its the GPU since I have tried three different cards all with the same issue. All of the cards were NVidia, so maybe its a driver problem, but I don't know why the latest driver would cause these issues.

The latest driver shouldn't be causing problems. Just to be sure, though, see if you can revert to an older driver; if you have a CD/DVD that came with the graphics card, that would be one method to do so. Make sure to use the following method to revert:Re-install or install the latest drivers for your display card. Your current drivers may be corrupt and/or outdated. Use the following method to re-install the drivers.

Get the display card driver version you want to test ready to install
Click Start Menu
Right Click My Computer/Computer
Click Manage
Click Device Manager from the list on the left
Expand Display adapters
Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
- Right click the adapter
- Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
- Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
Install the test driver for the display card(s) once Windows starts

Alternatively:

Login as an adminstrative user
Get the display card driver version you want to test ready to install
Click Start Menu
Click Control Panel
Click Hardware and Sound
Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
Expand Display adapters
Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
- Right click the adapter
- Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
- Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
Install the test driver for the display card(s) once Windows starts

Okay, so I installed the driver off the CD that same with my graphics cards and I'll see how that works. I did think of one thing that might be causing my problem, but I'm not sure. My motherboard apparently has onboard video (Intel HD Graphics), even though when I bought it, the specs said it didnt have onboard. Could this be causing the issue? Should I disable this, or am I just grasping at straws at this point?

You could try disabling the Intel graphics and see if it helps. Wait and see how the system responds to the older driver for your graphics card first, though. If it still has stability issues, then you may consider disabling the Intel driver.
