BSOD when playing DVDs

Hi, I have a strange problem when playing DVDs in my PC running Windows 7 (32-bit).
The problem is that whenever I play any DVD in any player of my choice, the OS Crashes and shows a BSOD every time I try to play DVDs in my PC. My PC has got Intel i865G Chipset with the built-in Intel 82865G GPU.
Please, help me with this problem ASAP, because I can't live without watching DVDs!
Well, I do have a DVD Player to watch them on my TV, but watching them on my PC is better for me. Please help, its urgent!

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I have attached the minidump files and perfmon report. The version of Windows 7 is x86 (Retail). The PC has Intel i865G Chipset and has 2.80 GHz Pentium 4 (with HT) processor with 1 GB of RAM.

1-5 year old graphic driver
This crash was Related to ialmnt5.sys Intel Graphics Miniport Driver.

I would re-install newest

How To Find Drivers:

- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

i am using Microsoft Security Essentials as my default malware detection program and i have searched everywhere for the driver of Intel 82865G Graphics Controller for Windows 7, but couldn't find it. It was stated on the Intel's website that the driver has support for only Windows 9x/NT4/2000/XP and Vista and not for Win7. So, what do I do now, install win vista or stick with win 7?

You can use the vista driver if you install it in compatibility mode

Compat= right click the installer>properties>compatibility>choose vista

It is a "Sony CD-RW CRX320EE ATA Device". Can you tell me the age of it yourself?

May be a physical problem. Have you tried to use compressed air to carefully blow out the drive?
