Hi

I had a similar issue a few months ago and it has returned. When shutting down the PC, the shutdown procedure basically hangs for up to 5 minutes and then BSOD stating Driver Power State Failure.

I've deleted the two programs I thought may have been causing it as they seemed to be involved last time (Gigabyte's control panel for the motherboard and Spyder monitor callibrator) but neither have worked.

The attached dump files are over several days and are before and after removing said programs.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

I recommend uninstalling the above application - its known to cause BSOD's on some systems.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I forgot to uninstall OC Guru when I uninstalled the other GB program. Unfortunately that didn't work either. Also ran Win Update and nothing came up.

Do you want this BSOD report uploaded?

If you had a new BSOD, then yes, upload that.

Also, check to see if you have a utility installed called ON/OFF, also by Gigabyte. If so, uninstall that too.

Mmm... same bugcheck. Try this please:

1. Click Start
orb.png

2. In the search box, type cmd
3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
4. In the command window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit enter.

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.

OK. If you open Device Manager, do you see a yellow triangle :warn: next to any of the USB entries?

It appears to be the printer via the router. The system shuts down fine now so I'll monitor it for the next few days and make sure it's all ok. Thanks for your help.

There should be a driver that solves that. Check the printer manual.
