Hi,

I sometimes receive a BSOD when shutting down my laptop. Its a Lenovo T460s. It doesn't happen all of the time, but sometimes and I have to shut down the laptop holding in the power button. I followed the instructions for uploading the zip file. Please let me know if you may need anything else. Any help/assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi kma1717,

The crashes seem to be caused by the bluetooth drivers, I would suggest to check for driver updates and if you don't use it to disable its functionality.

Hi Axe0,

Thank you for the response. There doesn't appear to be any updated driver for this. Could you please tell me how I would disable its functionality?

Thanks

Hi Axe0,

I always try to resolve an issue before posting here, but sometimes I just cant figure it out. When I try to figure out whats causing a BSOD, I receive an error. I use the WinDbg tool. I put in the "symbol search path", then choose "file open crash dump" and receive an error saying wrong symbols. I thought I downloaded the correct symbols but maybe I didn't. Would you be able to send me the link(s) for the correct symbols? I have Windows 7, 32 bit OS. I have attached the screenshots of the error for you to see. I appreciate you your help very much!

Thanks,
Kevin

In the first few months you need to open the dumps several time, this causes the symbols to be downloaded, in a matter of several attempts and time you'll have the symbols you need :)

What you currently get is normal for a first time :)

Could you please tell me how I would disable its functionality?
Please try the following :)
  1. Open control panel
  2. Go to 'network and internet'
  3. Click 'Network and sharing center'
  4. Click 'change adapter settings' on the left side
  5. Right click the bluetooth adapter and choose 'disable'
