BSOD while playing high resolution games

Hello

I have a custom built laptop computer and I just started having BSOD's a couple of months back. I haven't had any problems and since these blue screens I have found out I have two display drivers. One is Intel Graphics and the other is NVIDIA. This happens mostly when I play high resolutions games. Examples Final Fantasy 14 ARR and Thief 2014. I think that might be the problem but I am unsure at this point. I have done all I can to try and figure out this problem but nothing has worked. If anyone has any ideas, I would gladly appreciate the help.

I have created this account to assist with this issue. I have been trying to get the dump files from Payne's Computer. However when trying to copy a administrator error happened. Then we opened windows explorer in Admin and went to the files then tried to copy and send to compress folder and the computer errors stating the files do not exist. We thought maybe the issue was the dual video drivers we tried uninstalling both and re installing the video drivers however this did not help.

Was able to get a picture of the BSOD still unable to open or obtain a .dmp file.

what did the top line say..? Kinda important to have that writing, if you don't keep BSOD logs.

Does it say "Attempt to reset display driver and recover from time out failed"..?

Also Thief especially did used to be very temperamental for me, causing many crashes. I am using the latest Nvidia drivers (downloaded a week ago for me).

I turned off my intel onboard graphics through the BIOS setup programme.
The only reason I required it was for hackintosh.

Thief has been performing amazingly since I deleted it and reinstalled it. I didn't even need to set it up in Nvidia panel - it just rarely crashes now unless there is a LOT of object physics being processed by the GPU, in the case of some game engine glitches.

This is usually due to it running really hot, and so it safeties. My machine does not BSOD from this - it just restarts the driver ok.

It would be worth noting the temperature of your GPU before the machine crashes - it it possible that it is overloaded.
Try installing something like EVGAx that will help turn up your GPU fans (they are probably only at 40% max).

But first, disable the redundant intel graphics in the BIOS, and then remove and update to latest drivers for your card.

Yes it does say that. We are trying to get into the bios now.

Went into Bios there is no setting for that but it is very old bios version. We are looking into updating the bios.

Clevo does not have that function in there bios is there another way to do that?

When you update a BIOS, you do it using a flash drive - these days, a USB is easiest.

If you have the motherboard model or number, you can look up and download the latest flash BIOS from the internet.
The procedure is not tough - just a short sequence.

But it can be scary, because you could destroy everything ever. Your best friend is another computer with access to the internet, so - if you have any questions - you have something to refer to if you don't have a manual or a book or something.

I'm sure there's a detailed guide on these forums, even - have a search!

also, i'm not sure you will be able to control the fans on that laptop with software...

What I do to play games on my laptop, is stream them over steam from my uber-PC. I do it with illustrator and photoshop too, which means i can sit outside and work on a dusty old laptop, but still have access to awesome computer power.
