Hello folks, I recently ran into some crashing issues again and replaced my video card with an old one since my searching told me my code was related to the GPU. I was fine for several weeks of light use but have now ran into a new issue(attached to this post) that cropped up immediately after reinstalling Microsoft Security Essentials. I have removed MSE but it did not remove the issue so I am at a loss.

This crash in particular seems to shut down the video drivers(black screen with "no input" while I still hear sound for a moment) and then shuts down the PC without ever showing a BSOD. Let me know if there is anything else you need from me and thanks in advance for your assistance. :)

As an update to anyone who tries to help with this issue: I have installed all available windows updates(somehow I missed the service pack update when I formatted) and have been monitoring my temperatures. The graphics card was reaching 90c under heavy load so I'm taking steps to tune that down. If anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate your help. :)

Ensure you have the latest WHQL driver installed - http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/602-latest-nvidia-forceware-video-drivers-windows-7-a.html

Version: 314.22
Release Date for Desktops and Notebooks : March 25th 2013
In Device Manager: 9.18.13.1422

There seems to be some significant overheating issues, please check inside the case for any dust or other debris, which may be blocking the vents. Check the fans for any tangled hair or dust which could be stopping the fans; check the heatsinks for any dust and check the corners of the case.

Have you installed Service Pack 1 now?

Install and perform full scans with:

Remember to install the free version of Malwarebytes not the free trail; untick the free trial box during installation. MSE is the most lightweight and compatible with the Windows 7 operating system

Yeah, there were significant overheating issues. The automatic fan control for the card didn't seem to be kicking in so I have been manually adjusting the fan speeds and haven't had a BSOD since. I seem to have all available windows updates installed and will go through the motions putting MSE and Malwarebytes on the PC and updating to the new Nvidia driver as you pointed out.

Thanks again for your time - I believe that it's solved but I will leave the thread open for a bit in case something else comes up. Appreciate it.
