BSOD while playing Skyrim.

No other game causes it.

It's definitely has to do with AMD's incredibly sub par drivers as the listed driver on the BSOD was atidiag.sys or somesuch close to that. Unoverclocked Radeon 295X2.

Probably nothing user-fixable but I'd still like to know what causes it. Only happens rarely in Skyrim. It's ~60f in the room. Card never reaches anything higher than 50c while playing.

Now the usual fix is to uninstall the Catalytic Control Centre and run the graphics on the manufacturers driver only Drivers & Tools

So let's run with this first.
