As a first step, perform a complete system scan with your anti-virus software. In addition, download the free Malwarebytes and run it.

Okay. I asked you to do that because the problem seems to be caused by explorer.exe and there's a counterfeit explorer.exe virus/trojan.

Go to Accessories and right click on the Command Prompt. Select "run as administrator."

Does it find/fix any problem files.

If it does, reboot and run it again.

I'll be back later tonight.

Thanks for the replies.

I believe I have discovered the cause.

After updating my BIOs this problem started, so I have disabled XMProfiling. I found similar issues users have after a BIOs update on Gigabyte motherboards randomly blue screening their system(s) due to the RAM voltage being out of whack.
To test this I was running BF1 with my RAM on XMP and it would consistently crash the game out within ten to fifteen minuets, and one blue screen crash in the mix.
Since I turned off XMP it has been perfect, ran BF1 for a few hours with no problems.

Phew! Nothing in the logs to indicate that's the problem.

However, if what you did fixes it, who's to argue?
