BSOD Win7 (64) & HD5770

Hello, i'm getting a lot of BSODs lately (mainly while playing starcraft 2 but not only), and i'm quite lost at what to do to solve it.

- OS: Windows 7 64b
- Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A79XTD EVO
- Proc: AMD Athlon II X4 620
- Hard drive: WDC WD5000AAKS
- Memory: 2 * DDR3 G.Skill F3-10666CL8-2GBHK 2048 Mo PC3-10700H (667 Mhz)
- Graphics: Radeon HD 5770 (RV840,,1024 Mo)
- Screen: NEC MultiSync EA231WMi

What can i say more ?
- Graphic driver is up to date (Catalyst 10.4)
- i'm not overclocking anything
- i run a bit of memtest, no issue detected
- sometime windows can crash even if i'm not running any particular application, and sometime the computer won't reboot, but then windows will show something like "Your display driver was not responding anymore and has been backed-up" (sorry for my poor translation from french).

So, what i've tried from the list on your link:
1) overcloking: as stated above, nothing overclocked

2) cooling: "seems" fine when opening the PC - any way to measure something ?

3) drivers: 2 of them were oudated, have been updated to latest version

5) my win 7 is updated with the latest patches, when i go to windows update, there is just nothing to install at all.

4) update BIOS - not done yet, this will be my next step

Today i just had a new BSOD with all drivers updated, so issue was not coming from drivers. I attached the dump.

Anyway, based on my description of the BSOD and on how they appear, do someone think that what is looking as an "hardware" issue on my PC is probably linked to the graphic card or not ?

New thing i tried today:
i ran Memtest86+ for 5 hours (5 complete pass), and no error detected.

Issue found: one of my two RAM sticks is broken

By removing one of them, i had 5 straighforward crashes, and then with only the other one, no one single crash since 2 weeks, all runing perfectly fine.

I still don't understand how a bad stick could cause the issues reported by windows around "display driver", but well, for sure it was the root cause.

I have this exact problem too. Ran Memtest86+ for over 10 hours, no problems.

How come you appeared to have a bad memory stick, whilst you didnt have any Memtest problems? How can I prove this faulty stick to the shop where I bought the set?

Was having the same problems, now that i disabled the Aero desktop seems to work fine, I guess the driver and aero are using some resource in common causing the failure, the hardware it self is all right. So to clarify put windows 7 basic on.
