Hello everyone,

I am newly registered on SevenForums but have used the website over the years to help with various issues. This is the first time I haven't been able to fix an issue by reading through the forums however, hence my first thread and I hope that you can help me out.

My computer has recently been experiencing BSOD usually within a couple of minutes of booting up and in other cases, locking up. As it was approaching 4 years since I built my system I thought I could possibly fix the problem by formatting and reinstalling windows. I did this yesterday successfully and applied all windows updates and applicable drivers etc.

Upon turning on my PC today however I have experienced a BSOD akin to those before the format as follows:

"IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL"

I am aware that the issue most likely lies with a driver, but I am unsure of how to pinpoint the driver in question or diagnose the issue further.

As advised I have used DM Logger and uploaded the Debug zip created using that application and I hope that will be enough information for someone to help me remedy this frustrating issue.

Many thanks in advance.

You need to update the network driver. It is too old, and so causing BSOD.

Download and install Win7 and Server 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (the third item of the list) from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...d=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Let us know the result.

BSOD nvlddmkm.sys whilst browsing internet with IE

Hello everyone,

Have recently formatted and reinstalled windows as my computer was experiencing issues after nearly 4 years since I built it.

Had a driver BSOD the other day that has been sorted through Seven Forums, thanks to "Arc" for helping with that.

Since then my computer has been running much better...until just now. Had been using my computer to play Elite Dangerous for a couple of hours without issue, I was then browsing the internet when IE stopped responding and I received a BSOD with the following error message:

nvlddmkm.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

I'm under the assumption that it's a NVidia driver issue, but concerned given I have just formatted my PC so there shouldn't be any old drivers lying around to conflict with the latest ones installed.

More worrying however was the message received after the hard reset. I was notified that "overclocking had failed" - I selected default settings & continued to boot as I have never ventured into overclocking.

Hope someone will be able to lend assistance. Thanks in advance for any help given!

ps: Have uploaded my dm logger report.

Seems to be a hardware issue - at this stage I'm not sure if its the card or RAM, probably card. CPU is not overclocked.

Try this:

1. Stress the video card for 20 mins, noting maximum temp. reached:

2. Run 8 consecutive passes of MemTest86+ to test RAM:
