BSOD x000000051 Starting up Windows

Greetings and thank you if you are reading this.

Recently, my computer had been slowing down and had started to crawl, but I had no issue with waiting considering the age of 4-5 years now for this computer.

However, over the last 2 days I've started to get BSOD after login into Windows 7 Home, and I've been reading about the issue of 51 which is a hardware problem.

Due to that most of the people here were found within google I decided to join in here and ask for help.

I'm pretty new to Windows 7 when it comes to computer hardware and software, so my competence isn't that modern anymore and I ask here for help.

I've gotten SF Diag tools to try and find the issue.

I've tried to read the dump files with Bluescreenviewer, yet sadly I am unable to read it correctly. =/

I've tried to update my graphic drivers Nvidia GeForge 240 GT to the latest one over the course of trying to fix it as I have a hunch it may be the cause of it but for now it's uncertain.

I've tried to use TDSSKiller(Spelled?) and the other tools just to be safe. No error were found.
I also disabled all startups optional programs to try and limit it down, even disabling some devices like sound card and such through devmgmt.msc for startup debugging but no avail there either.

I'm at my rope's end here.

Okay so lets rule out some of the easy causes first:

Also your BIOS is old this could be a cause:

Also your antivirus, is BitDefender i have came across many BSOD's with the cause being BD.

Did a sfc /SCANNOW in cmd. Did not find any integrity violatons.

Uninstalled BD, will restart after writing this. Using Windows' own firewall.

Not sure on which BIOS version I need, or where to find the specific version I need. Or even the model name or anything.

Edit:
Attempted to restart into windows, but I got an error before that, something about page and unpaged, didn't have time to read it before it shut down.

I tried once again after doing a memtest for 10 passes with no issues found, and tried to restart it again. And it was back to Regestry Error.

Okay lets try some other things.

Do you have your CD, or are you able to do a Start up repair?

I seem to have done some damage this time. =/

After getting ahold of the Motherboard BIOS update version, I was about to restart into safe mode and download the latest BIOS available. I had to restart the computer several times to see which Motherboard Generation it was, and once I had gotten enough information to pinpoint which Motherboard Version BIOS I needed, the Safe Mode Crash, and it seems to be related to error 24. So I had to find out what it was.

After I found out it is related to Harddrive Failure or readability, I feared the worst of my data. I did a complete chkdisc and it was replacing security ID to default on every single file, up to above 150k files. Also it pointed out some of the segments was unreadable.

So now, I'm trying to get Safe Mode working again.

As for the CD Drive, I currently had it disabled in device manager to pinpoint down what caused this. However it should be useable as a boot, but I do not have the original CD around anymore for Windows 7 due to that it's been well over 4 years I had this. I've asked a friend who is more of a wiz than me when it comes to computer and he recommended a Full Reinstall with Windows 7 ultimate.

For Startup repair, I am uncertain how to do that. I'll google it and try to attempt it before I am desperate enough to reinstall windows.

So later today, I'll be attempting to reinstall windows 7 Ultimate edition and see if that fixes it.

I may come back soon, depending on the results.

After a reinstallation, I was able to get my files back and so far the computer is finally workable. It's time to do a full save/Backup files and format every other piece of the harddrive.

Shame it was not fixable without a reinstall but thank you for the help atleast.
