BSOD

If Driver Verifier flags a driver, it will disable it in the next boot. If it disables a critical driver, like your motherboard drivers, your machine may not start up.

Ok, I ran memtest86 overnight, 10 passes with 0 errors. What's my next step? Sounds like it's definitely a driver issue because of the verifier and we now know it's not a memory issue?

I'd say keep trying to boot into Windows. If you can't, boot up in safe mode and delete the current DV settings.

Please remove Bit Defender ASAP. Run this uninstaller: http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

Replace with MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

BitDefender is gone, MSE is installed. Windows boots fine right now. Was just playing the Final Fantasy XIV Alpha and the video cut out and blue screened again. Attached is the minidump file.

this one was caused by dxgmms1.sys. This is the directx portion of your video drive. I would completely remove all traces of the current driver. (most mfrs make an uninstall tool) Then I would download and install a fresh copy.

You do know you still have driver verifier enabled. You should turn it off.

To turn off driver verifier:
Open an Admin Command Prompt (right click on cmd, and select run as Administrator)
type 'verifier'
]turn off Driver Verifier[/u][/b] by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings"

if you can't log into window, boot into safe mode and delete current setting :sarc:

Windows can't boot anymore, had a blue screen while browsing the web looking for the display drivers to download. Just got an error from the Windows Boot Manager about unable to verify the digital signature for a file. Going to use the Windows CD to repair.

At some point you may want to start thinking about a clean install. Is there any data on there you cant live without?

Everything was going fine for a while. Then, while browsing the web my video card crashed and I blue screened. The computer then got stuck in a loop and kept crashing everytime it got to the Windows screen. Sometimes the power would go on but nothing would come on the screen. Then I'd smack the case or let it sit for a minute and it would work. The only way I could get the computer out of the loop and started properly was to reset the CMOS on the board. Any ideas?
