BSOD's persist. Tried everything I can think of

Here are the steps I have gone through to try to figure these BSOD's out.

Memory:
Memtest86 - 8 passes. 3 Times. Passed on all.
Reseated memory and video cards.
4x2gb sticks: removed one at a time to eliminate suspects. BSOD on all
Memory Cards are compatible.

Video:
Upgraded Video card to Nvidia GTX 650 ti
Updated all drivers that needed updating (Video card, Network Adapter, Chipset . . .etc)
Used Driver Sweeper before installing new Video Card drivers

Other:
Seagate hard drive tool - passed.
Uninstalling Microsoft Security Essentials.
CPU doesn't get hot enough to raise alarm.
Clear/reset CMOS. BIOS at default always
No Overclocking has EVER been done on this machine.
Clean Install of Windows multiple times.

The BSOD is caused by JMicron RAID Driver, JMicron JMB36X Controller driver.

You may try to update it from JMicron.

BTW, as you have a single internal HDD, 1 GB seafate, you may try to disable RAID, as it is not a must in this situation.

Also try to update Renesas USB3 drivers, as those are old, too.

Try to get the updates from Support/Design | Renesas Electronics.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Updated Jmicron driver

Have not updated USB driver yet, not sure what is what on the Renesas site. Under Device Manager it shows Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller and Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub.
On the Renesas site all I can find is firmware. Nothing that plainly states driver with version and date. Not sure which one I am supposed to use.

Your crash dumps are not showing any finite probable cause.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If memtest comes clean, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning

Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Try to update the chipset driver from Support & Drivers

The other one is a stop 0x124, which is usually supposed to be a hardware reeor, but old bios/chipset and failing device driver may cause those, too. So after updating chipset, if the same 0x124 bsod continues, we will search for the reasons in the hardware.

Well not out of the woods yet. First log into game and immediately got a blue screen. Here is the latest dump info.

I am guessing, from the dates, that you are using the Beta one. I would suggest you to use the 320.49 WHQL.

Install the latest WHQL only.

• Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
  • 3D Vision Control Driver
  • 3D Vision Driver
  • Graphics Driver
  • HD Audio Driver
  • PhysX
  • nvidia Update
  (Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
• Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
• Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, Download 320.49 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:
  
  

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.


And let us know the wattage of the PSU?

Drivers uninstalled, driver sweeper, clean install.

I have a 1000 watt PSU.

Ran Furmark under specified settings for 15 minutes. No glitches or crashes. Temp topped out at 84

I think you need to take care of the GPU itself. Its getting hot, and making the motherboard hot, too.

These two temperature readings are critical for the proper performance of a computer.

After using the latest WHQL, make it sure that the GPU fans are working properly ... they are not blocked by dusts etc. Try some additional cooling for the GPU.

If still display is crashing, it will be better to replace the GPU.

I am looking at cases with more fan slots in it atm. This case has only 2 case fan slots front and back. Here is the latest crash info. One of the dumps has an error code I have not seen before.

Both of them have something to do with the hardware, and we already identifier the GPU as failing.

Do one thing. Dismantle the entire computer. All the parts. Clean everything. Clean all the air vents, fan grills. While re-seating, apply new thermal paste to the CPU.


Even if it cannot improve the situation, you have to replace the GPU.

By GPU do you mean the graphics card or the processor? Just wondering because I had all the same errors and blue screens from my previous card. This nvidia card I have now is only a couple of months old
