After that I installed win7 x64
Worked for an hour or two, then restarted without Bsod, few times.
So I Replaced PSU. crashed few times after 10 hours. sometimes with Bsods :

after awile system started to freeze after reboot on Windows Logo.
I checked that in safe mode it freezes at 'loading drivers' part.

So i took the harddrive . graphic card , placed in another pc witch c2d and p5q pro, And guess what ! Everything is working well. no freezes at startup, no bsods.

So what do you think ?
Problem is that i can't check MOBO , CPU, and RAM, Because my other hardware isn't compatibile . And i don't want to buy new Mobo without being 100% sure that this will work, Because it's not even my PC ...

All files i can really attach is minidumps. Because I can't run exe's because system is not working . But when i was runnig this system on another machine (I swapped HDD) everything was alright

- What is the age of system (hardware)? = less then a year
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) less then a year , reinstalled to 64bit

a) BIOS bug
I updated bios to a newest version . No improvment.


b) a driver whose activity is causing the target processor to lock up
c) a hardware defect (temperature, voltage, dust, RFI, outright borkedness...) ?I wonder about CPU defect also)

I run some tests... ram, HDD, GPU, PSU are ok.
And driver's are causing bluescreen's, as You can see in minidumps . But they are random drivers. before reinstalling windows there was one Bsod with dxdiag. But GPU isn't broken for 100%

This is a very well known cause of problems with windows. Please uninstall ALL Daemon Tools.

This is a very well known problem also. I believe there are newer updates for this driver. So please update it to most recent: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download

Afterwards please post back if there are more crashes.

these problems doesn't appear anymore after i reinstalled windows, and updated drivers.
And i also uninstalled Deamon tools. This particular Bsod appeared when i runned driver verifier, so i unsinstalled DT.

I have Bsods and restarts . Loook at dates. i reainstalled windows. then Bsod's reasons changed .
I saw DT problem so i uninstalled it few days ago. at this point windows is hangin on boot logo. or rebooting after desktop appear.

You shouldn't have to re-install windows to get new BSOD crash files.

Good troubleshooting so far.

Did you run Windows memtest?
If you did then you should run memtest86+, it's a much better RAM test.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Run with all RAM cards installed, if you get any errors then stop the test.
This runs from CD or USB memory stick, so if your OS isn't stable you can still run the test.

If you can get your OS to run long enough, D/L CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.

two new Bsod's one with aswSP.SYS and screens from cpuz

I checked ram with windows memory and memtest once
today memtest passed two times. No errors



So what happend : After bios update settings was restored. Windows was hanging on a boot logo, or giving me restarts without bsods on desktop.
then I noticed "press 4 to activate asus core something " i activated 6 cores .
Windows Runed! but in device menager he say's unknown amd procesor (six times of course )
Before that windows recognized AMD PHENOM II X4 960T
The problem is i don't really know what Cpu is excatly in the box.
But i don't think that problem is solved, because this machine was in exactly same state few days back, worked fine for 10hours+

Still appreciate your help! What should i do next ?

Edit :
Psu original in machine was tracer highlander 550, I thought it was his fault so i put Bequiet 600
checked that tracer in another box and it's working well

Edit 2: Ram in cpuz is in second slot because i changed it before to check that maybe slot 1 is broken.
first memtest was running on slot 1 accually - no errors

So i figured out that windows can't boot with core#4 Activated. I hope that turning it off will solve the problem. I'll do some test and report .

Good information.

Activating the hidden cores can cause instability, sometimes you get lucky and they work.

Let us know if its any more stable now.
