Guys just upgraded from my ancient build 6956 that I installed quite a while ago...

man... everything is way slower. The 6956 build reboots in 40ish sec but this one takes over a minute.

What's going on at Microsoft?

Why instead of getting faster it's getting exponentially slower?

Since you upgraded, some drivers might have been replaced. I suggest you uninstall all downloaded drivers, do a Windows Update to find the best ones and if anything missing, then install the Vista versions of them.

Well, there is no way I would have even attempted an 'upgrade' from ANY build prior to 7000, let alone 6956!

Wipe system and reinstall 7057 and I can assure you that all troubles will be gone ;):)
