When I type winver here I'll get 3/1/2010 7.59PM as the date. However when using a reliable system information tool some are familiar with already(SIW) I end up seeing "Property Value
Evaluation Version. Expiration Time 2010-06-01 23:59:59"! That was seen following activation as well.

My expiration info matches Night Hawk's. I've installed 7077 x64 three on three different machines using the same key -- the one I got from MS the second day that Win.7.7000 was available for download. And all three machines give the same two expiration dates/times.

The product keys provided won't have any effect on the expiration dates with any build. Those were simply provided for activation purposes there apparently good for all beta type builds. The RC1 on the other hand may see new numbers there.

Hopefully, they won't limit the RC numbers giveout in any way if the RC stops accepting beta keys...

Since that's still a different ball park there I imagine a certain group of numbers will be seen for those apart from the beta keys now in use. Those will be for those who are part of the readiness parnership program there.

I suspect the RCs will still see an expiration date that passes the 6/1/2010 like those that had still been running the Vista RC1 and RC2 for some time after Vista's release. By then of course you could say a good 99.99% are going to be rushing out to be the first to get a retail copy rather then worry about any leftovers from the testing days!

(alright kiddies! be the first on the block with a fully registered copy of 7 running on your own... heh! where did everybody go?)

Could it be something to do with the time & date at which the build was installed? Is there any way to find out the install time?

press Winkey + R type CMD and go to Command Prompt and type systeminfo without any Space.....

2010 is next year not 2yrs. from now. The 7000 builds are history by 8/1/2009 for a start with the only one that might extend past the 6/1/2010 seen on the 7077 build would the RC or last RTM before Retail/oem being extended there until 2011.

Once 7 sees it's general release I doubt too many would be trying activate a copy to last until the following year to start with. For anything pre RC you need to look at the actual expiration with a system information tool or by the command prompt option shudau pointed out.

This is what I got from SIW and I think I didn't find it there

As we've discovered, there are 2 different expiry dates. 1 shown in 'winver' & the other from running 'slmgr.vbs /dlv' from command pronpt.

I have a theory about the differing dates.

The 1 in 'winver' could apply to the date at which Windows starts running with reduced functionality. The 1 in 'slmgr.vbs /dlv' (in command prompt) might apply to the date at which the OS becomes completely unuseable.
