I have HP 6930P with 4gb ram and Intel SSD drive. It was really fast with beta version of the Windows Seven. After I formatted the drive and installed Build 7100 everything worked fine. I used it for two days and today I installed all the updates. Everything is REALLY slow. I tried to uninstall updates but it didn't help. What could cause this slowing down?

I have XP image, which I restore and everything is fast with that. When using Windows Seven startup takes almost 8 minutes.

I am also having the same issue since last few days when I updated 7100 (what ever updates were available) I am thinking of system restoring to before updates or id the RTM is released that would be a better option.

I tried system restore but it didn't help. I don't know what to try next. Maybe install everything again and don't get the updates.

Try disconnecting other drives & keep only 1 drive which has the OS installed & see if that speeds up.
In my case 1 of the hdd was causing this which I zeroed out & now things look ok.

Have you tried individually uninstalling the updates through control panel> Uninstall programs/view installed updates?
