Building a gaming PC

So basically I feel like spending a lot of money :)
I primarily play FPS games of all kinds, but need a few advices on getting top performance pr. dollar.
Could anyone suggest a pro rig? I got 8000 DKK / 1400 Dollars to spend without a screen.
I'm thinking some kind of radeon graphic card and maybe this Zalman Z11 - miditower | Billig - cabinet.
My problem is finding pieces which supports that run well with each other :P

So if anyone got a spare 10 minutes I would very much like the help :)
P.S. I'm ordering everything online and assembling it at home in Denmark.

I will help you if you want...

So you have 1400usd to spend including buying a monitor.

Before we look into computer parts what screen would you like.there are many types and this will most problably be a local desicion.go to a computer/tv shop and find one that suits your needs.
Tell me what you budget is for the computer only not including the monitor. Leave between 300-400 for the monitor so you are looking at a 1000 usd build.
I suggest intel for a gaming build.you can get a high end i5 based build or a lower end i7 build.the i5 and i7 havnt got much diffrence when it comes to games.i would pick a i5 3570k as it is the best gaming processor for the money.

Along with a high end z77 boatd which will unleash the power of the i5

A decnt water or air cooler

A case with good airflow

Good psu with 850w+

Hdd/ssd combo

Cd drive

And most I think this can importantly a good gpu

I think this can all be contained under 1000.please report back

Looks OK to me. However, you should really consider the Z77 chipset boards, as these are newer than the Z68 (which are, nonetheless, good boards). In addition, the i5-3570K would be a better choice than the CPU you're looking at (I have a Z77 board with that CPU and it's running at 4.2GHz (from 3.4GHz standard) with the HSF that came with it). If the PSU isn't modular (or semi-modular), you should consider looking for one that is, as they can make for a much neater build and can help tremendously with air flow.

Have a look at my specs, they give what I have in my system and should give you a good idea of what to use.

my comments:

motherboard-stick with gigabyte but look for a z77, they are the best

graphic card- all is well, good choice

cpu-get the 3570k, it is more energy efficient, beter overclcoker(some say) and it is newer ,ie more powerfull

consider a modular as they make you case look so much beter
