Buy Windows 7 in Canada?

I've been screwing around with the microsoft store for about 20 minutes now, and it appears to me that I am unable to download windows 7 home premium...

Is my only option to go buy it from a store?

Your first link is the site I have been on, I get up to the ordering part, and it pops up a windows and tells me canada is a frozen wasteland and everyone must live in igloos which is why I am unable to download windows.
I dont want to buy a disc and have it shipped, I want to download it. Is this not possible?

I guess your only legal option is to order a disc from a retailer like the MS store or Newegg.

That's okay, the price on Newegg is actually better than the cost of an upgrade license from the Microsoft store.

...I know the feeling!! ...but to be fair its not really MS fault..most of the folks selling it here..just don't offer the download option.....and I guess MS just can't encroach on their markets...or rather don't want to...

If its important for you to download it...then why not think about using a VPN with a US IP address? and those services are dirt cheap these days.... I m sure you won't be falling foul of any laws etc..

It was really just the billing address part that got me, when i tried to make up a california postal code to go with my visa

I wont be back into civilization for at least another month, im in the middle of nowhere
