Solved Bypass Group Policy as limited user

Hey all, I was wondering if there was any way I can bypass GP. I am on a system at an extension college campus with no designated IT. I have been asking them to fix the resolution on the PCs for over a month now and nothing has been done. It is stretched something awful and no one here likes it. I'd like to bypass the GP and change it. Is this doable?

Hi AmTheMan and welcome to the Forums.

Sorry but I cannot help you on this, and I don't think any other member will as, your I.T stop normal user's for a reason. Doing this will break the policy and you could get into trouble. I would suggest to keep at them about it

Thanks, it's just very frustrating. They say that it isn't supposed to be that way and that all I have to do is restart the PC, which would reboot GP. BUT it doesn't work. I've even tried doing a GPupdate in cmd.

Maybe you should just take a screen shot and send it to them in the email. If you keep at them they will do it in the end

Not that it would be possible to bypass Group Policy anyways. You are a limited user with limited powers.

So I was complaining to a classmate about it and he showed me how it can be changed through Adjust ClearType text in CP. That is the only way to fix it. I am content now. Thanks, again.
