C drive 0MB cant log on

Hey all,

The other day I noticed that 1 of my pcs ran out of space on C drive. well I ran C cleaner and rebooted. now the screen does not show the log in bar after i hit ctl alt del. it runs for a minute and goes back to showing ctl alt del.

Is there any way short of repartitioning and reinstallling 7 htat i can free up some space maybe using cmd promp? safe mode wont allow log on either.

I ran chkdsk/f C:

14500 kb left on disc
65414 kb on log file

only 3513 units left on disc

other wise disc is fine - lol

The CC Cleaner deleted something in the registry. I don't ever run that. CC is not going to help your problem. You don't have enough space. I read your specs and your C: drive is 80 GB, is that correct? You can try a Startup Repair. It might repair what CC Cleaner broke. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html When your PC is booting again, you need to transfer something to another disk. If yours is 80 GB, that is plenty for the OS and a few programs, but not too many. You need to transfer some stuff to one of your external drives. Let me know how the Startup Repair goes.

i did start up repair several times to no avail. not sure how C drive filled up so fast. i thought there'd be something to prevent total zero out.

I had asked how big the drive was. == Nothing will tell you when it gets full unless you look in Computer and the drive shows Red since it is almost full. Nothing else. == Your programs need to be on the C: drive along with the OS. The pictures, docs, etc can be on another drive.
