Those are pretty much one in the same. Just backup any important data to an external drive or another computer, wipe the drive clean, and then boot from your Windows 7 disc (unless you have an upgrade version).
If you want to cleanup the disk before a win7 installation, burn a live CD or USB stick of Partition Wizard (see the left pane of the webpage). That way you can operate independent of any OS. That is a real good program for any disk operations.
