Solved can i use 32 drivers for 64 drivers

i want to install a fresh copy of windows 7 ultimate but the drivers i have now came with windows 7 starter 32 bit. Will the drivers work with the new ultimate or will it work with both 32 or 64 bit ultimate

Not a chance. X64 requires 64 bit drivers.

What is the make and model number of your computer?

Regarding the various Windows 7 versions, there are mainly two catagories. 32 bit and 64 bit windows.

For a given device, if your windows is 32 bit, you need a 32 bit driver. If the windows is 64 bit you need a 64 bit driver. It does not matter whether it is Starter, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate the drivers are same.
