Solved Can not add my computer as trusted in Win Live

I go to login.live.com.

I try to add my computer as trusted and I get the msg shown.



A little history.

Wiped disk 100% clean.
Installed Win 7 Ultimate with SP1 x64.
Win 7 fully updated.
Installed to VHD as dual-boot Win 8 Developer Preview.

I boot up and choose Win 7.
Go to login.live.com (have tried both with FF and IE).
In the list of trusted computer is:
The name given to the computer in Win 8,
The previous name of the computer before I wiped and reinstalled clean.
The name of my other computer, a netbook.

When I triy to add my computer after this install of win 7 and win 8, then I get the msg shown in the PNG.

I have tried:
100% uninstall of all Win Live Essentials components.
Reboot.
Install of Win Live Essentials leaving off bing bar, outlook related items, parental whatever it's called, social whatever.

Still live.com thinks that live essentials is not installed.

Live Mesh works. Skydrive works.

Why can't I add my computer under its present name as a trusted computer? And yes, I verified my computer name, full computer name which are identical. This computer name is not shown as a trusted computer.

I've also asked this question at windowslivehelp.com. Have not received an answer yet.

Any ideas / suggestions?

Found the answer:

1. Browse to this location C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Installer\
2. Open the wlstartup.exe
3. On the sign in page, enable the Make this my trusted PC checkbox then sign in.

I've been having the same problem and couldn't find a solution.

Seems that there a lots of people out there who have encountered this same problem.

I wasted a lots of time and effort trying many wrong approaches.
