Solved Can someone read sfc details text

I have recently not been able to run sfc /scannow. It gets to 15% and says it cannot continue. I normally run it twice a week so know it is recent. There have been no software or hardware changes except Windows updates recently. Otherwise the system runs fine. It is not a virus or malware. I ran a scan with MSE, Malwarebytes and 11 hours of Microsoft system sweeper. Nothing was found. I am including the sfc details text. Any help would be appreciated. If it can be fixed, I would appreciate knowing how, but would rather do a clean install than spend 5 hours trying to fix it. Thanks. I have also run checkdisk F/ R/

In the first place, why are you running the sfc tool twice a week? It's not a maintenance tool and there's no point in running it unless you're having severe problems with Windows - and even then, other steps should be attempted before going to sfc.

As for your log file, it complains about t2embed.dll which belongs to Microsoft's TrueType rendering engine. I think there was a recent security patch affecting exactly this file, and having that patch installed might be what's throwing sfc off...although it shouldn't.

Honestly, if there's nothing else obviously wrong with your system I wouldn't worry about this error for the time being and just stop using sfc.

Corazon, thanks for the info. I fixed it and scannow now works fine. I choose to run it often. I think it is prudent to know if there are any system files corrupted before it crashes and burns. Thanks for your help.
