Going back to your original post, did you download the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version of the registry editor you're using?

Obviously, whichever one it was you need to be using the other.

As for not having an external hard drive for backup purposes, which is the worst-case scenario.........a hole in your pocket or a hole in your precious data?

External hard drives are not expensive so a few bucks more on your credit card won't hurt.

I only suggested it because you said the 64-bit version wasn't doing the job.

As a matter of interest I've installed both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office 2010 on Windows 7 64-bit and there was no discernable difference in performance.

Anyway, I'll leave you to it as you're obviously not too impressed with our efforts to help you.

For one thing; I never once said my registry cleaner wasn't doing the job, this didn't happen because of the cleaner, I have no idea why it happened but I know it wasn't because of the cleaner. So there is no reason to even try it, considering I've already taken much more drastic measures to fix this with no success; me asking a questions has nothing to do with how well you guys help me out, this is a very irritating problem that I can't get fixed, forgive me for not willing to invest any more of my time or patience with something that clearly can't be fixed.
