I have a Dell Lattitude e5550 here that I have reinstalled Windows 7 on. I went from oem windows 7 professional to ultimate.
The computer cannot hibernate properly, if I hibernate, or it hibernates automaticly the system is unable to resume with this error.
0xc000000d computer cannot come out of hibernation
Sleep works, but sleep eventually auto hibernates no matter what your settings are so it's not a solution..
Hardware ...
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (all updates)
CPU: i5 5300u
GPU: Integrated (intel hd 5500)
Ram: 8gb single channel (1x)
Storage: 500gb 5400 rpm HDD
Motherboard (Dell Lattitude e5550 (mainboard model name is 0jprm5)
sata mode is intel's RAID, not ahci
secure boot is OFF
Before, with the oem install it worked. I have no idea what I have done wrong because I have all the drivers installed, there is not any 'yellows' in the device manager.
So far I have tried...
- I tried disabling things like bluetooth, hw wireless switching, usb 3.0 and various cpu features but nothing helped. Then I tried disabling almost every optional setting in bios besides c-states and sleep/hibernation related stuff.
- Anti-virus scan, of course.. since someone is going to tell me to anyways.
- Repair install
- Corrupt file check and chkdsk
- Reinstalling with another ISO
- Another disk
- Different RAM (Since someone is going to tell me to anyways)
What I haven't tried that I can think of is going from a eufi install to a bios install and disabling wireless entirely.
I am at a loss. Hibernation works OK in Linux, Openbsd and I even got it working in another obscure OS called 9front.
Just not here on windows 7.
