My network contains:
10 PCs and laptops running (Windows7 & Windows8).
2 network printers
1 Network Drive (WD Mybook Live Duo)
Workgroup environment

Here everything is fine. But one of the windows 8 laptop cannot access network folder. It prompt username and password. whenever I am trying the username and password it says login failure. But the same username and password works for all other machines. I tried disable firewall, another windows profile etc.

From what I have read the WD Mybook has problems with certain Windows 8 machines.

There is a long thread about this at the WD forums, maybe you should read through it and see if the latest firmware has fixed this bug.

That is exactly what everyone at the forum said. One machine works but the other's don't. This type of logic doesn't really work with computers so it may have to do with the type of NIC being used or something else. :geek:
