Cannot copy Outlook file

Hello,
External HD 500GB;
Outlook file 6GB;
When I copy Outlook file to external HD, windows tell me 'not enough space' while I can copy other files to external HD and I can copy the outlook file to a usb drive.
Please advise.

Is your HDD formatted as FAT32, if so you can only copy files up to 4GB in size at a time.
