I tried to install Yawcam and it called for Java.

Tried to install Java and the install hung.

Checked some threads and came back and tried a standalone install.

The standalone didn't seem very standalone, still seemed web based to me, but anyway...

The Install quickly informed me that the install was unsuccessful - like almost immediately, before even trying, like it had read that info from some log the previous install had left.

I tried to Uninstall. Doesn't show on Windows list of installed progs.

Tried Java Uninstall service or prog or whatever they call it

It wouldn't run because it apparently needs Java to run.

So here I am. Win7 with no Java on it. And Win7 I can't begin to try to put Java on it because of the Java on it.

Any ideas what I could do?

The machine is 64bit, i3, Asrock motherboard.

Try the JavaRa app.

See this old post for details and a link to the JavaRa website.

The JavaRa app is up to version 2.6.1...
...but the rest of the info should be about the same.

edit: there were no posts/answers to this thread when I started to make my post. I took me a while to verify that the info in my old post was still valid.
