Hello,

I want to install the latest Intel HD graphics driver on Windows 7 X64, downloaded directly from Intel. Upon installation I get the message not validated driver, installation will abort (I have the dutch windows 7 version, so I don't know the exact text in english, but I think you know what I mean). I did some googleling and I found that it was possible to disable this check via F8 boot menu so offcourse I tried. But after disabeling this check, I still get the same message. How can I install this driver? its a notebook btw.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Asterix,
Try the steps as mentioned below:

Click Start and right-click Computer then click Properties.

Open Device Manager and double-click Display Adapters, then double-click your graphics adapter.

Click the Driver tab and click the Rollback Driver button to uninstall the updated driver and revert to the original one.

When you have Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) drivers installed they may be set up differently than the manufacturer's drivers, which is where conflicts can arise.

If this doesn't work, boot into Safe Mode and choose System Restore to the point where you updated your graphics driver.

Hope this helps :)

Hi Pebbly,

Thanks for your reply, but it didn't work :S. I tried deleting the settings but I got the message "no changes where made" I did check the setting before and all options where allready turned off. I was in "F8 no verifing" mode allready, so I guess that mode was working ok allright.

do you have an other option? In the mean time I will do a bit off research.

Kind regards!
